How it works

1

Consultation

A full medical history and a private discussion of your concerns, so Dr Katherine can check the treatment is suitable.

2

Preparation

A small blood sample is taken and spun to separate the platelet-rich plasma.

3

Treatment

The area is prepared and the PRP is placed with fine needles. You’ll then receive aftercare advice.

Honest advice

Good to know

Research into intimate PRP is still developing. Dr Katherine will explain honestly what it can and can’t do.

Results vary from person to person and no specific outcome can be promised.

Symptoms such as unusual bleeding, discharge or pain should always be checked by your GP or gynaecologist first.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is PRP safe? +

PRP is made from your own blood, which lowers the risk of a reaction. As with any injectable treatment, there are some risks, which Dr Katherine will explain.

Does it hurt? +

The area is prepared beforehand. Dr Katherine will do everything she can to keep you comfortable.

Is there any downtime? +

Most people return to everyday activities the same day. You’ll be advised on when it’s fine to resume intercourse and exercise.

How many treatments will I need? +

This depends on your concerns. Dr Katherine will agree a plan with you at your consultation.

A private conversation, with no pressure

Every treatment starts with a confidential consultation with Dr Katherine. She will listen, assess whether treatment is suitable and explain your options honestly.
